I have a 2007 Softtail custom with a PCIII, Big Shots and air filter. I changed the bars to get rid of the apes. Yesterday I tried her out, WOT to 120 and still climbing in 5th gear. I didn't even get low on the tank until 110. I'd guess the bike will run 125-130.
Had mine up to 120 MPH (Per speedo) comming back from Orlando on I-4 with the wife on the back. It was really smooth. I saw it as just a novelty, to say I did it. I don't see any real reason to do it again anytime soon as the injuries to the back of my head are almost healed. I guess I should have been wearing a wife proof helmet!
The 04 SE duce will do somewhere around 130 on a good day. most of the time it seems to stop at around 125. That is just guessing calculating about where the needle is. 02 FLHTCUI W/ lowers on 105 is about as far is I want to push it. Just starts to wobble.
I hit 176 mph on my slightly modded 06GSXR1000 and it still had more guts left. I didn't.
Nothing seems fast any more including my 09RKPolice and that is just fine with me.
That bike feels solid up to about 90mph. Beyond that the aerodynamics just start getting stupid, and I know I'm pushing the bike for something it just wasn't designed for.
