114 on the Road King ,smooth as silk.May hit 118-120. Runs out great at 80mph. I run it up to 100 every time I get on the expressway going down state .The sporty starts shaking at 75.
looks like this thread has evolved to 'who has the biggest bullshit story about how fast they have been..........' ....cant wait for the sequel 'who gives a ****?'...:>
Look at the design of the Hd. Does it look like a high speed bike? With all the drag they are impressive.
80 mph I know it will do that and with comfort.
Sorry guys but the rice bikes has it on top speed but then you don't have the sound or comfort
On my '93 FLHTP I got to 110-mph one night on I-95. I'm pretty sure that's all it had. My current ride, '04 FLHRCI, I've had it up to 95-mph (sustained 85-mph) on SR-417 and I-4 a couple of weeks back. I was late tomy buddy and his wife's baby's first birthday. I was keeping up with this kid in a DHL delivery truck. No weird handling at those speeds, I enjoyed the ride. On the way home was a different story, I-4 at 11 o'clock at night is not a pleasent experience. If you don't maintain at least 75 - 80-mph the cagers will climb right up your ***. On top of that it was cold. I stopped on SR-417 and took a leak, smoked a cigarette, and warmed myself next to the engine.
Hey, I survived, so it must have been a good ride.
Fastest I have been on a motorcycle was 172 mph (CBR 1000). Fastest I have been on my Harley was 85 mph. It feels like I'm riding a unstable brick at higher speeds.
I'm the same way, mine feels unstable at 85 to 90. I told this to the dealer and they seemed surprised by this as if it was the first time they heard such a thing. It does not instill confidence. My bmw was good to go at 140+ no problem.
