Had the Street Glide up to 100 mph in South Dakota this summer. It felt like it had a lot left but I didn't feel comfortable with it. These bikes are just not meant to be speed demons. I love the bike and it is ok at those speeds but not something I want to do all the time. Back in my younger, dumber days of sportbikes I did my share of 160+ mph on my Suzuki 1100. Crazy but at least those bikescan handle it and are made to do that. It's all what you want to do with your bike. I like to go put put put put at 60 on my Harley now
cruises at 85 all day 2 up when on the HWay. Faster when passing, have run over 100 several times no wobble bike stays planted. If you wanna go faster a touring bike is not the right scoot IMHO.
PS I run with a short shield and 1/2 helmet, still comfortable.
80-85 on a regular basis on my 06 SG. It's just where the bike seems to want to go. I've ridden between 90-105 multiple times as well, and 90 real often. My bike feels very stable at those speeds. My Fatboy would really start to protest above 80!
I look yonger at 90 due to face pull but i think i will keep it at a safer speed so people can get a better look at my "your number 1" sign. Now if only i can get the love handles to pull round back to pad my can i might stay at 90.
on my 2000 fxst 205 kph-128 mph
on my 2007 flhx 185kph-115mph in 5th gear with my girlfriend in back and tourpak on.My buddy didnt get away with is 04 se ultra.(he also had is girlfriend and tourpak on)
both my bikes are stage one
