Default Warm up times...

Guys, Just wondering....How long do you wait before driving off on a cold engine? Vs a warm one. I ride all winter if the roads are clar and it 14 miles to work.

When it's 35 F and lower, I warm it up for three to five minutes and go easy for the first 1/2 mile or so until the oil pressure drops to the normal range.

No warm up for me, regardless of the temp. I just start it up, pop it in gear and ease out. I go easy on it till the rocker boxes warm up.

Maybe 60 seconds, but I take it real easy for the first few miles.

I start the bike. Push it back out of the garage. Wait for the door to go down and then ride off. I live in a neighborhood that has a 30 mph limit and it takes a minute or so to get to the highway. Once I get to the highway I ride it like I normally would.

Same here. I start the bike, then put on jacket, helmet, gloves. Back the bike out. close the door, then ride easily to the freeway (about 5 miles).
