LOOKING FOR ANY TIPS ON INSTALLING THE ARLEEN NESS BIG SUCKER PART#AN18-501 ON MY 2000 FLHTC AND IS THERE ANYTHING TO DO AFTER ISTALLING IT ...DO I OIL THE FILTER AND IF SO WITH WHAT THANKS WITH ANY HELP
The instructions will be very straight forward, and should be no problem. The K&N filter should be pre-oiled.
For normal maintainance you will need to clean and oil the filter on occasion. K&N makes a kit for this that is easy to use and comes with detailed instructions.
I put one on my 03 RK, it hooked up real simple. As you said the instructions are pretty much useless, but it is a pretty straight forward install. If I could do it, anyone can.
I put one on my road king, very self explanitory, however make sure you tourque the banjo bolts, I know of a guy who broke his off in the cylinder, (not good)
