Anybody going slower than me is an Effing idiot! And anyone going faster than me is an Effing idiot!
In Arkansas they've got a law I believe is unique, If you're in the left lane your speed doesn't matter. If you're blocking anyone you can be ticketed. It's a real eye opener to out of state vehicles. However, Troopers usually issue a warning unless you can't keep your mouth shut and take the lecture.
WTF are you just hanging in the left lane for? You see them in the mirror and yet you stay in the left lane? I'm sure the guy the buzzed you in your own lane did it out of irritation (not saying it's right). In any case .... some a-hole on a motorcycle ain't news.
Depending on the road, I don't havea problem staying in the left lane. He said there was a car in front of him. You ride where you feel safe. on four lane roads where there are a lot of intersecting streets, it is safer to ride the left lane to give extra time for the idiot that wants to turn in front of you from one of those streets. On interstates it's a little different. I witness a couple of idiots like this on the interstate in town with four lanes. They were splitting lanes and all and it's illegal here. That's what gives bikers a bad name and why cagers don't like us and don't worry about looking out for us because they theink we are all idiots.
Down here in Oz
It is illegal to travel in the fast lane unless overtaking,In our case ( the right lane in your case the left lane ) and you can be booked for doing so.If your riding style is to ride where you feel safest dispite the road laws and you are in fact travelling in the overtaking lane you have to accept that other road users will not be impressed. In my humble opinion if everyone road/drive with consideration to the laws and other road users be they scoots or cages will would all be a lot better off. Some times I sometimes ride hard and sometimes I ride easy it depends on my mood at the time but I like to think I do it in considerate and safe manner.

Over 75% of motorcycle crashes occur in the right lane. I always ride in the left lane or HOV lane when on the Interstate. But I don't poke around. Get on, go directly to left lane and haul a$$.
Why were you in the left lane? If you'd been in the right lane they could have pulled into the left lane and passed both of you without infuriating or startling anyone. Right lane except to pass, thats the rules of the road
Go back and read the post again. They screwed around with the Honda rider in the RIGHT lane as well. Apparantly it didn't matter to the 3 azzholes which lane you were riding in.
I have to side with the original poster. He stated he was travelling faster than the speed limit and somejackasses passed him and the other rider in the other lane illegally and dangerously. There is no reason for their ignorant actions, they could have waited until there was room to pass him or honked their horns for him to move over.

Wow, this reminds of when my (grown) sister went out at 1:00 a.m. to get cigarettes at a convenience store. As she is making her purchase these guys come in force a gun to her head and rob the store. The first words out of my mom's mouth is "what were you doing out at 1:00 a.m."...
Sounds to me like the guy was going faster than the speed limit probably with the flow of traffic in the left lane and probably passing away people in the right lane. Can't see where he was breaking the law or not being curtious to other drivers since it appears that nobody was directly behind him when this occurred.
No matter what anyone else chooses to do, everyone has a responsibility to control their ride in a safe manner...the rest of the world will *not* cater to you.
Any bike passing me on the right within arms reach is *not* riding safely...I promise that.
