Another vote for HD here. I bought the cheap set, about $90, but I rode in a poker run the day after buying, and it rained , non stop, all day long. I never took the suit off from about 9:am til 4;pm when I got home. I did not get wet at all. Worth the money. I'll probably go back later and buy the more expensive set for a better fit, but for less than $100 bucks, the low price set is great.

Some of the more expensive stuff has protection on the legs near where the pipes are. Some people have even sewed ironing board materialthere. Don't forget about protecting your boots also.

Frogg Toggs. Totally waterproof, inexpensive, light, folds up small so it barely takes any space in your bags.

I dont havethem but I have read that FroggToggs are a very good choice.
I bought a set of FroggToggs last year. The first time is used them my right pant leg touched the exhaust pipe for 5 sec and immediately melted to the pipe. The jacket is great, but the pants are not heat resistant at all.

I have the two piece HD Gore-Tex rain suit and love it. Works great, breathes so you don't sweat your azz off and doesn't let a drop in.I also have the HD rain gloves and boot gaiters. Dry is good.

We used FroggToggs for several years. They performed well but, as many have said, keep them away from the heat. The old Toggs finally wore out so we went hunting for rain gear. Looked at HD but they just did fit the way I wanted. Settled on a First Gear top coat and a great pair of waterproof pants from REI that zip all the way up the sides. The zippers sure makes getting them on a snap. Would up at about the same cost as an HD set but they fit better. Just my 2 cents worth!
