I second the Harley gear. I have a heavier 2-piece (about $175 for the set) while my wife has a lighter suit (about $125) since she does not ride as much. The fit and level of dryness are great!
My wife and I have Dakota Power Trip (textile) riding jackets which are also waterproof with zip out quilted liners. We also have First Gear (textile) Overpants which are also waterproof with removable quilted liners.They are the most versatile sets of riding gear I have ever come across and you don't have to worry about keeping them away from hot engine parts either. They are rugged and warm. Lighter and and less bulky than chaps.
