I found that after I remove the screws securing the tips I use a piece of pvc and tap the caps off going around the entire cap.The pvc won't scratch the chrome or the black caps.

Hey, Plow, sorry I'm late getting back to you. I bought my fiberglass at a local Ace Hardware. It's a fiberglass repair packet, I think made by Bondo. It's just a couple of sheets of fiberglass cloth used to repair fiberglass. Get some stainless wire to wrap around the cloth to hold it in place. OR,instead you can buy some stainless steel wool and wrap that around your baffles for a more permanent installation. Very easy either way, and my pipes sound great.
Supertrapp sells a muffler repack kit which is the glass material only. Not sure if it's much different than auto body fiberglas but I would think it may last a little longer.
