Anyone have a SERT map with my setup (below) that doesnt ping and runs good? My bike runs good but does ping. I couldnt even use 6th this weekend with a head wind, even at 80 mph. Pinging.
Just change the timing at the TPS/MAP/RPM values the engine pings at. Read the SERT manual that comes with it.
Mark the throttle at 75%, 50%, 35 %, 25% 12% and Zero. Record the setting when it pings and what RPM`s your at and change the cells by dropping4 to 5degrees. After you have stopped the ping, reset the same fields up by 1 to 2 degrees until it just starts to ping. Then drop them by 2degrees and your done.
That`s the best part of having a SERT. You can fix things and adjust ityourself. You could also activate the real-time data recorder and monitor it with that as well.
Time to read and learn how to adjust and tune the bike for yourself. That`s the most gratifying wayto me. If you need help...Just ASK US.
That`s what this forum is for. To tech and be taught/learn to DIY.... IMHO..
I have a custom cal. in it now. Runs like a raped ape solo, but 2up and gear, cant use the throttle in 4th, 5th or 6th. Wife only weighs 110 lbs.
Drop in a SERT map and see how it runs....Test different maps to find one that works. Or like I said before....Tune the timing table of the map your using. JMO
