Clutch cable stretch
I have a quick question. I have hadall varieties of bikes over the years and this is my first Harley(07 Ultra). I love this thing. My question is, Are the clutch cables more prone to stretch than on other makes of bikes, or might I just have a bad cable. I have 3400 miles since Aug.4th and the cable was adjusted at the 1000 mile service, now it is getting a lot of free play in it again. I know how to use the clutch so I know it's not my problem, just curious if anyone else has had to adjust thier cables this often.

For me if the cable is adjusted per the manual to 1/8 inch, the fiction point is way too far out. I prefer to have mine at 1/4 to 1/4+ inch to get the fiction point closer to the grip. I also have noticed that the cable changes length with heat. I just don't worry about it.
