A lot of people just put slip-on mufflers on for the right sound, and never do the air cleaner of fuel system changes. No harm is done at all, and the bike will sound a lot better.

Just wait until you have the tuner installed. You won't believe how much better it will run. I was like you and THOUGHT my bike was running PERFECT until I had it installed and man I'm telling you WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Let us know what you think when you get it done. Hope you have the same experience as I am.

Added rush slip-ons in May. They sound great and had no problems until this summer.
This summer the bike was pinging quiet a bit. I don't know if was the record heat wave here in Atlanta or maybe the summer gasoline blend, or maybe a combination of both. But the bike still pings now even in this cooler weather but not as bad. The bike is stock except for the mufflers. So I just ordered a ness a/c, and sert. I'm really excited
