Default $600 & 2 hours...What a difference!

I just installed my new V&H Ovals and Fuelpak on my '05 RK Classic. Very easy install (even for me). Really love the way it sounds. Maybe just my imagination but it seems to run a lot better also. I thought it ran great before but it seems to pull even better off the line now.

I'll post pics of the install and before and afters tomorrow. Local Vance and Hines Service shop wanted $75 just to install and program the Fuelpak. I did both in about 30 minutes and I'll be the first to admit that I have 10 thumbs. One easy modification.

Got the slip-ons and fuelpak for 25% off list at mandmacycles.com. They were offering an additional 5% after Thanksgiving.

Wish I had known...

I have a brand new FuelPak (well, has about 20 miles on it) that I took off my '05 RK Classic. I switched over to a PCIIIusb and now the FuelPak is sitting on the shelf. I'd rather see someone use it than it just sit there.

I put on the V and H ovals, fuel Pak and the S E stage 1 air intake. I was amazed with the power increase and how much better 9cooler0 the bike runs. 06 ultra.

The FuelPak and PCIIIusb both do the same thing. They work inline with the ECM and adjust the air / fuel & timing based on your setup. The FuelPak is designed to run with V&H exhaust. They do have setting for non-V&H exhaust systems but not many. The FuelPak has about 18 settings that are changed based on the bike, systems, exhaust, etc. All the settings are done once the FuelPak is installed. There is no computer interface. I'm sure the settings could be tweaked but you have no idea which of the 18 settings does what. The PCIII allows you to make changes and see what changes are being made along with having the 3 buttons on the device itself to make changes. It also is, at this time, more recognized by dyno shops to get the bike setup. Once the bike is dyno'd you can save the MAP as a custom and always have it.

Don't get me wrong......the FuelPak worked for me and did its job. I just wanted to have something that could be tweaked a little more. I'll be getting the bike dyno'd when warmer weather rolls around.

I remember reading your post Brian, a few weeks ago when I started asking around. I didn't realize you still had it or I would have made you a fair offer. Glad to hear the PCIII is working for you. If I do anything more exotic mod-wise I will probably go that way myself. For now the Fuelpak is working out great. Rode 103 miles today and she ran like a champ.
