I prefer to be able to look over the shield. If it is raining that hard I would rather pull off anyways than be looking through a rain soaked shield. Just my opinion!

I prefer to look over the windshield. For me the perfect height is about even with mymouth when seated on the bike. This way i can see the ground out in front of me within about 30 feet or so in order to keep an eye for debris, etc.

A taller windshield is fine until you get caught in the fog or a misty rain then you're totally SCREWED. You're basically blind! This is obviously hazardous to your health.

Get a Clearview windshield with recurve and look over it.They work great.
I found looking throw that jiggly stock Harley windshield about made me puke.
