Battery Tender
Just came inside after attempting to install mine on my 06 Road King Classic................
Surprise! My model came factory pre-wired. It's on the left side behind the plastic "pop off" panel. The factory installed plug is too big to pass thru the frame hole as was mentioned. Its twice the size (the plastic plug) to pass thru.
So I just tucked in along the top frame rail under the seat.

Bruce00,
can you disconnect the lug ends from the posts and slip it through the opposite way. I can't recall if the fuse holder is smaller than the plug??? Or maybe cut it and splice it if you rally wanted it through the proper hole...

Don't know if thats the "proper" hole, but I was considering unbolting the harness from the battery. Then I noticed that, like you said, the fuse holder is larger than the hole. I guess that I could have unbolted the harness, pulled the fuse and then wiggled the harness thru the hole, then bolt the harness back to the battery and plugged the fuse back in.
But since its a mild 28 outside in my unheated garage.................I decided to come into the house and rethink my options with a Jack and coke in my hand

Actually, there is plenty of room along the frame rail under the seat for the wire and endplug. Then when you want/need to plug the charger in, it's easily pulled out. Time will tell, but I think this will work fine. If not, I already have a battle plan for the spring :-)
