Default CHAPS Help???

With the weather chilling down now and needing some extra warmth I am in the market for some chaps. I for sure am going with Fox Creek Leather again but should I go with lined or not. If they are lined are they to warm if it's not that cold out or what do most of you chap wearers use. Thanks for the tips.

I use unlined and they are fine. In colder weather I use TechWick long underwear for added warmth.

I use the regular HD chaps that are not lined and they keep the wind off. Leather keeps the wind off and Iuse warm stuff underneath. I do like the chap;s as it gets colder.

I have unlined chaps. Not nearly as hot when it "warms up" If you go unlined, look for at least 2 mils thick. They are the best.

I purchased mine from www.hotleathers.com

good luck

Bought a new pair this year First brand available at many HD dealers as well as US Made Leather on line. They have removable linings that make it great for my NH riding in the colder months.

1/2 the price of the HD chaps at 149

my chaps have a lining to the knee.. its not for warmth , more to prevent chaps from "sticking": to your jeans.
the lining, helps your legs/pants slide around , for better comfort,,,trust me on this!

Got mine from Jamin Leather - lined. They help allot. I ride in upstate New York and wear them when it gets in the lower 60's and below. Extends my riding season.

I broke down and bought a pair of Harley chaps with lining. As mentioned earlier the lining is not for warmth, but for comfort, easy on, etc. I went with the Harley chaps because this style has and expander section on the upper inner thigh, helps the chaps move with you when you bend, sit, or whatever. Also have built in deep pockets with snaps so I don't have to keep digging under the chaps into my jean pockets. This is my third pair and by far the most comfortable ones.

I have a pair from Fox Creek and they are seriously heavy duty and very nice. Big Zippers big snaps, great quality. I would buy them again. Very heavy. Bought them a few years back.
