yep a few more caved in to the MOCO.
Went and spent more money with them to replace
a screwed up gauge that the MOCO should fix.
No wonder quality seems to be going downhill.
No one has the gumption to stand up to them and insist
the moco fix stuff at the factory, before selling it to us.
Well no one, but myself.
complaint went to FTC today about that gauge.
next is an impartial panel.
What did it cost me so far?
4 stamps, and a little time to write moco and ftc on line.
If you all would just stand up and file official complaints in writing to MOCO and the FTC they wouldn't get away with this crap.
But I guess you all make a he77 of a lot more money than I do and can throw it away on something else from them.
MOCO knows none of you have the ***** to fight them, so they pizz on you over and over. no wonder everything has the same answer "it's normal!"

Not to be mean, but whyTF did you buy a piece of HD OEM crap???

Compasses especially are extremely finicky and prone to disturbances.

I truly get lost in the WI northwoods occasionally - this $25 digital device is NUTS ON - and it gets me pointed in the right direction home.

Got two of them as a matter of fact.
Air gauge is crappy on both.
I see no real need for an air temp gauge, except maybe in colder climates.
If it starts to drizzle I'd like to know if temp is above freezing.
Might make a difference between continuing to ride or time to put it up before road frezzes in to ice.
In which case a PROPERLY WORKING GAUGE WOULD BE NICE.
My point is HD quality has been slipping for years. Stuff comes from the factory not working right, Air gauge, New radio, defective tires from factory, the noisy tranny, some 08 are having complaints.
Point is this crap shouldn't happen year after year.
The air temp gauge for 7 years. Hd knows about it but won't fix it, WHY?
Because they know you only bitch among yourselfs, not officially to them and the FTC and you'll go buy their oil temp to replace it. They didn't lose any money and made more off you.
Will I win? Don't know. But if I (you) don't try, garantee I won't.
Start showing you got some gonads and protest to them and the FTC.
If FTC get's enough complaints on same subject they will force HD to fix this stuff.
Put something else in your hands for a change other than your limp ........
Help get this stuff corrected!
Next time you hear "It's normal" then don't bitch about it unless you're willing to do something about it.

ORIGINAL: johnny canuck IMO it's a lot of work for nuttin' and money better spent elsewhere! Compass...GPS...geez...just get a map from the local info bureau..Just did 2400 miles to Sturgis this summer..c'mon guys get a life! Keep your eyes and mind focused on the road and to hell with these distractions ( that includes chrome on the inner fairing)...what's next, an EPIRB?
Now thats what im talkin bout, EPIRB. I want that Johnny. You never know when you might get stranded in the ocean. I just wish i would have thought of it first. Any ideas on mounts? I already have the flare gun kit. The man is right too damn many toys.
