Has anyone received information on the 2008 Road King handle bars with the electronic throttle control? Need to change these bars!

Is there a H-D part no. for these RK 'high bars' or a pic of them somewhere, I'd like to get a look at them. It's probably going to be a choice between the Heritage bars and the RK High Bars when I make the change.

[sm=yikesomg.gif]Anyone besides me ever notice that Harleys test riders must be related to a member of the ape family, the running boards are to close and the handlebars are to far away. That makes me think monkey.
Dang, and here I was after 1300 miles thinking the '08 RK fit me perfectly [sm=yikesomg.gif]

Personally I went with the Wild1 518's and I love them. If I do another RK it will get 518's as soon as I possibly can. I have tried several of the other options here and all have their pluses. 2 weekends ago I sat on a guys bike thathad the heritage bars with 4 in risers. I have to say that they were nice but the hand position was a little off for me. he sat on mine with the 518's and asked a lot of questions about them. He seemed to like them an awful lot. After I walked away I saw him looking over my bars. Just my .02 cents worth.

I used FXRP bars for a few years; they are about 10.5" rise and at 31.5" narrower than the Heritage bars that "everybody else" was putting on their FLHRs. They got me by until I had enough $$$ for the Wild1 16" apes, described as "like power steering" by other riders. I sat on a young lady's FLHR with this setup and I was hooked. No need to modify the windshield either. Try to see and have as much "hands on" as you can at dealerships and rallies and I think you'll find the bars that are "just right" for you!

I went with the chrome Heritage bars and have been very pleased. As someone else said, they are an easy install (can use existing wiring and cables).

You're going to have to put new grips on it, so while you have things disassembled, you might as well do the job right. Install chrome hand levers, chrome switch housings and a chrome brake reservoir at the same time and save yourself the hassle of doing it later. It might cost a few bucks, but the look is SOOOO much nicer.

First of all, thanks for all the comments! I appreciate all the the ideas and the opinions on the various bars.
I decided to trythe 4 1/2" risers/stock bars option. I'm getting a Street Slammer cover to replace the stock cover. I found the following website and got a lot of help from Moccasin (Mike).

http://www.moccsplace.com/images/harley/riser/riser.htm

If this doesn't work for me, I'll take a look at some of the bars mentioned here.

I think I got mine from the Custom Chrome book on Zanottis website. But I had to call them to get a price. I believe mine were $150 about 6 or 7 months ago. Zanottis are great to deal with they shipped it fast also.
