Advice on buying a Road King Classic or Street Glide
Hey!! Wanted to see if anyone could help me with the decision on what to buy. I am selling my Deuce and wanting a RKC or Street Glide. Have ridden them both and love them. Have loved a lot of stuff I have ridden though! Would like to hear the pro and con's of each oneif you don't mind.

SG- radio
RK-no radio
You will see 10 SG's to every RK of the same year.
It should be a easy choice being they look so different, buy the one you like the best.

RKC - Have the option of removing the Windshield (they look awesome with out the shield) - Leather saddlebags (classic look) bit smaller then the hard bags and they do not lock (you can get aftermarket locks for them)
SG - Lower in the rear (you loose a bit of ride comfort) - Fairing non removable (a bit more weight on the forks then just the windshield) - Ya got tunes - Bigger lockable saddlebags
Both are GREAT PUTTS it all depends on what turns your head...
RE: Advice on buying a Road King Classic or Street Glide
I have an 04 Road King Custom and a 07 Street Glide. Both are outstanding rides. I do find myself riding the Street Glide more than the Road King Custom though. It maybe just because it is newer. I do not see any noticable difference in the ride. Some may tell you that the faring makes the front end heavy but if it does I do not notice it. I do alot of two up riding and I do like the lockable saddlebags on the Street Glide. The Road King Custom has a more open felling to it because it does not have a faring. I do not take the windshield off of the Road King Custom very often because I do not like the pressure of the wind on my chest. Both the Road King Classic and the Street Glide are great rides. You can't go wring with either one. My suggestion is if you do alot of long highway rideing you might ;want the Street Glide with the radio and fairing. If that is your choice have cruise control added for increased comfort on the road.

I have an '05 RKC right now and if I were going to buy another HD it would be the Road Glide. I know, I know, everybody says they look weird but they ride and handle better than any other HD touring bike. One guy said you'll see 10 SG's to every RK and you will see less than that of a Road Glide. Give it another look and it will grow on you. They come with the stereo and best of all cruise control..

I was on the fence. I went with the SG. I love it. The RK(FLHR) is nice with the hard bags. If I had bought the FLHR I would have two more bike purchases before I reached the top. Now I can only go to the Ultra Classic. The wife said we can't go back to the RK now and that is really what she wanted.
I guess I could go Ultra Classic then SE Ultra Classic. My buddy just bought an SE Ultra. That thing is sweet.

From someone that has a Street glide and loves it, Buy the electra glide classic and make the tour pac detachable that is what I would do If I had it to do over. and I was looking at the King as well.
