Funny incident at Dragon...
I was at the Dragon this weekend, on Saturday afternoon, with my brother. We pulled into Deals Gap on 129 from the Robbinsville direction. The parking lot was pretty packed, so there were no good places to park. We went all the way up the lot to the end of the hotel rooms, turned and were coming back down the lot (which is gravel at this point). There was a spot big enough for both our bikes between two cars. I almost thought about backing in, but due to the angle (the parking lot is sloping now, and the gravel is loose small gravel, not the big stuff, plus the cars are parked at an angle) I decided against it. We pulled in and when I put my bike on the jiffy, I immediately didn't like how far it settled into the gravel. So, we decided to move, as we saw a couple of bikes pulling out down the way, on the paved area. Well, Since I was backing the bike uphill, in small gravel that I was not able to get good traction, I was only able to move my bike back a few inches at a time. So, after a few back and forth, back and forth moves, it became evident I wasn't going to get it backed up myself. I noticed a group of guys(next to Harley tourers, as well)hadbeen checking outmy situation, and were obviously conversing about it. I couldn't tell if they were getting ready to come over and help, or bust out laughing. Just about the time my brother was going to get off his bike (a 1200 Sportster, he didn't have a problem backing up) two of the guys walked over and asked if I needed a hand. So, they gave me a push backwards, and all was well. A tad embarrassing, but the guys were very nice about it, and said they had been there before, too.

Nope never dropped mine in the garage either!
LOL (note to self: when cleaning wheels and you pull the bike forward to get that last little bit of the wheel you couldn't get, make sure the jiffy stand is down, BEFORE you try and place the bike on it. LOL)

Sometimes it's nice to be a woman. I have no shame that RaftGyde does this for me on a regular basis. [&o][&o][&o][&o][&o] Well, maybe a little shame.[&:] But he would've had to help me get it up off the sunkjiffy AND give me a shove. I'm so careful when I ride alone 'cause I've becomeexpert at this dilemna. [:-]
