Default Riders Backrest

Any input will be appreciated. I am undecided between a Mustang and a Harley riders backrest. Pro's vs. con's. Thanks in advance

I had to rig the HD backrest to make it comfortable as many have had to do. If I had to do it all again I don't know if I would have bought it. It is good now.

My HD adjustable backrest is comfortable when I ride alone, but the back seat is small enough that, with the wife on, I have to set my backrest so far forward I feel like I'm sitting on the tank. Next time we ride together I'm going to try remove the backrest to see if it gives me a little more room.

I remove mine when passenger is on also to give us more room. Over all I like the HD adj backrest with the sundowner seat though. I did add spacers to the front of the mounting bracket to let the backrest sit back far enough to be comfortable.

That is the same thing I did.

I have the HD Adj backrest and love it, however with the wife, riding I have to remove it bec it hits her thighs to the point of bothering her. I could and probably should raise her floorboards allowing more room, but unless we go on a looong ride its no big deal.

I spent an hour in the garage with her and the backrest. Okay, try it now, how 'bout now...now...okay now. It is sad that I am so used to it.

I have the HD fixed backrest and it feels like it is pushing me forward, I've tried bending the upright bars with no luck and have been wondering what my next step will be. I've considered the spacing the front part of the bracket to get the backrest to lean back a little more and am glad to see that someonehere had success with that...tell me....does the adjustable harley backrest lean more rearward than the fixed?

thanx

I put a thick washer under the front mounting point of my backrest. I had to elongate the hole in the backrest so the bolt would reach the threads straight on.
