Default Front fork air baffle

I have tried to never ask a stupid question on this forum, however, it appears that it is my turn. I just bought the front fork air baffle. While I am not normally impressed with HD instructions, this part came with no instructions at all!!. Can someone tell me where it mounts and if there are any tricks or surprises? Thanks

It mounts on the top of the fork on the back. There are three holes. Mine came with two screws. You may have to remove plugs for the screws to screw in to. I would use a thread cleaner tap to clean the threads first. Make sure the curve points down and not up. Hope this helps.

Take a 1/4" X 20 Bottom tap and clean up the thread before you attempt to mount the baffle.

Use 1/2" long screws, not 3/4" as suggested. Blue Locktight and you are all set

Maybe so I didn't want to leave anything to the imagination. I know how I am, if it isn't spelled out I will do it wrong.

If you have an older bike that did come with the plugs in the holes, save one of the plugs and put it in the middle hole with the two screws on the outside. It seems that the newer bikes don't have the plugs in the holes. My 04 did.

I used 3 screws to install mine as the baffle and the triple tree both had 3 holes. Had to clean them with a tap as stated above.
