This winter I plan to upgrade and buy a slightly used Classic or Ultra. this will be my 1st bike without a carb.
Since I am looking for used, chances are that stage 1 will already have been done. I am curious about what I need to keep in mind in case I end up wanting to change the slip-ons etc. and will need to tweak whatever fuel management system the last owner installed. For instance, it seems if SERT was installed I will need the dongle in order to re-tune, right?
Are there any similar items to consider with any other systems?

The problem I see is that girl needs to stop zipping that shirt back up. Yes if it has a SERT its not tunable without the dogle it came with, you would have to buy another SERT .

Dang, HomeBrew.....I looked at your post for 5 minutes before I located the text!!!! Nice chic! I'm in a similar place with my 05 ultra...i've done the SE a/c w/download and some Supertrapp SE muffs. I'm still getting some sporadic popping on decel since it's still somewhat lean....I have no plans to go any further with engine upgrades so I'm thinking I'll be adding the V&H Fuelpak in the spring.
