Default Sidestand w/Lowered Suspension

I'm still knockin around which bike to buy, any one purchased will be lowered. What I"m not sure of, will the side stand on say a EG Standard still lock in place if the front & rear are lowered? That sidestand looks like it's defying gravity as it is, if it doesn't lock...oh crap!

Thanks for any/all replies,
-Bill-

I only dropped my RK an inch and don't have any problems. When I slammed the Heritage Springer I got a shorter jiffy stand.

I lowered my wifes RK and inch front and back, no issues at all with the kick stand, do check the oil level and mark on dipstick befour the lower and then check after the lower, this will be your new full level, I found that the dipstick did read differently afterwards, not much but there was still a differance.

Interesting. It had not occured to me, but I can see how it might read a little different. Good tip.

If you really want to make sure of correct lean angle add the HOTOP kickstand wedge for baggers. We always add this extra piece on baggers we add air ride to. Good insurance for a small price around $50.00.

EvilDave,
What is this HOTOP kickstand wedge for baggers that you speak of?

Humm, I reckon I'll be pondering about this little thingie. I have had a problem a time or two when parking on a slight up-hill to the left situtation.

No jiffy stand problems with a 1" lowered bike.
