Well if someone wants to steal my gas, let him. I'd rather lose the gas than have a possibly beat up tank from someone determined to get my gas. Besides if the thief is HD oriented he knows any HD key will open the fuel door. Wonder if an after market lockable gas CAP wouldn't work.

I respectfully disagree. Mine works perfectly. My main reason for installing it was that I was worried about scratching the lid over time with the key. I think a more aggravating thing to me is that the door flips towards the seat making it difficult to put the gas pump nozzle in. Does anybody disagree that if it flipped forward it would be a much better design.
