Has anyone ever aligned your bike? If so did you take it to the dealer or an independent shop. In the old days I did it with a string and a helper. I'm sure that won't work today.
As a major problem with harley touring models is wobble, our dealer put in a laser alignment machine.
MCNews reported years ago when the TC88's came out that some were misaligned from the factory so bad, that they thought it was intentional, and couldn't figure out why the wheels on a Road King they were testing were 3/4" out of true tracking.
What we use for all alignment. Yes it does make a great deal of difference in handling. As far as our observations is most bikes from HD are OK, few are not.
We have a Laser set up for checking wheel alignmernt. The chances of you having a Camber problen would be rare. Your issue would be more left to right or maybe even a toe problem. The lazer set up works great. Your checking wheel alignment, engine to trans and fron wheel are your inspections points. You can also check the old fashion way(not as accurate) driving over water and checking to see how straight your wheels tracked.
If ya got some miles on it and i'm sure ya do, and if ya got a wobble in your front tire between 35 and 50 mph it could be your "fall away". i'm not exactly sure what that means but my mechanic that used to work for harley said that's what it was when i had a new front tire at 12,500 miles. Don't know if that's the same as alignment though. It wasn't a balance problem. That's one of the things the stealer is suppose to check at 10k service. I didn't have it done though.
