stupid question guage replacement
I am looking to replace my guages on my 04 RG to the SE spun alunium (sp?). I am looking at getting used set and here is my question....How or can you have the milage on the newer SE Spun speedo reset to acurately reflect your milage on your bike. I am looking at a set that has 700 miles on it. My bike has 12,1XX.

I'm doing the same thing as you. Waiting for my white face SG gauges to arrive today from a forum member. They are supposed to only have 12 miles on them and my bike just turned 17K. You may be able to send them to Harley and have them adjust the mileage for you. Having worked at a HD dealership I do know that if you buy gauges from HD they will not sell them to you without loading actaul bike mileage on them. I'm just going to note my actual mileage when I make the change and if I sell or trade in I can divulge actaul mileage at that time.

your the 2nd one that has told me that is the way they have or are going to do it.
I may end up doing the same. Just wondering if the other way was possible and somewhat easy.
I'll have to speak at the dealer and maybe shoot an email to the mother ship.
