Default Power outlet....where????

I was just over at the MOCO web site, and looking at the 2008 Street Glide. If you click on where it says features and specs, and then click on Ride and Storage at the bottom, you will see a little plus symbol where you can put the cursor for more info on that particular item. When you put the cursor by the symbol at the front part of the seat, it says the bike has a accessory power outlet under the seat with a on/off switch. Whats up with that? Where is this outlet.....and is the switch they are talking about the one to the right of the ignition key switch????

Yep, that is the one !!!

The Accessory connector is 95% of the time located in the front of the battery box.

It is a grey Deutsch (sp) plug that will allow you to connect different accessories (tour pack lights, fog lights, heated seat, and ect.).

The power to the plug is controlled by the Acc switch on the panel in the vicinity of the Main Pwere/Fork lock Switch.

The P&A Catalog has an adapter that will allow the accerrsoy power supply to be "split" between two (2) or more accessories.

Good Luck

Remember to remove the "cap" before you try to plug anything into the connector.

Does the RG have the same connector? I would like to hook up to my GPS to power on and off? Will it work with the GPS, if so does it have the gound or is it just power only and where do you buy the connector?

The Connector actually has four different circuits. The P & A cataloge has a splitter/adapter.

Good Luck

I ordered the aux power outlet for my 99 RKC. The connector is also under the seat, but I don't know where or how I will mount the actual power outlet. I am told that the switch is the accessory switch up by the light bar, but I'm not sure. I don't care if the 12V power outlet is always on, actually, because I won't be leaving the GPS plugged in and on unless I'm riding the bike.

Unused, I would expect the 12V power outlet to not be drawing any power.
