Does anyone have the HD# for Pewter Denim aerosol paint can? I nicked my saddle bag trying to fit the new SG into the garage between cars when I first brought her home last year.
As for care of the denim, I found the dealer info about washing with dish soap, detailing with Windex. It works! I have tried various detail sprays and waxes before trying the Windex. The sprays and waxes DO start to make it shiny and began leaving uneven buildup that looked pretty crappy. The Windex treatment removed the mistakes and buildup and now it looks like new again.
If you bought denim, you bought it to be flat, not shiny. Although I "settled" for denim to get one of the first '07s in July 2006, the longer I have it, the more I like it!
My latest, best ever accessory is the Cee Bailey 13" SSC windshield for winter riding. I suffered through last winter with my stock 4" shield riding to work every morning in 30 degree temps in GA. This shield looks cool and makes a huge difference in keeping air off my head. Now most of the wind is coming up from around my legs.
Didn't know that they had a touch up paint for our SG's in pewter denim. I have a couple of nick I sure woud like to touch up. You got the best windshield there is I have the same in 12".
According to the HD paint/parts book, the pewter denim is not available in aerosol; only touch-up, part no. 98601CHH, and quarts 98609CHH (which also requires the Denim Clear 98609CLR.
