Default Denim Pain

I'm told that the Denim Paint is hard to clean and if you have touch up its very noticable. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I thought the whole point of denim paint was for it to get the look kinda like denim jeans. Used lookin', maybe a little dirty. Correct me if I am wrong.

Windex and a soft cloth. Works great on mine.

Hi any water based panel prep/degreaser works great on matt/satin matt paint finishes, remember it must be water based and its a wipe on wipe off process. In the states you probably would source it through any vehicle paint suppliers usually sold in gallon containers.

I bought the touch up paint for my black denim and tried it once and wiped it right off. It looked like crap. And yes I took my time......

Hi from the Uk - I was told you should not polish the Denim finish as it ends up shiney so all I do is wash it and leave it and so far it seems fine. On the touch up front I was following a lorry and it flicked up a bolt which hit the tank and put two fairly small deep sratches in the tank. I took advice from a body shop, bought the touch up paint and lacquer sticks from HD let down the paint with thinners and took my time, built it up bit by bit, fine sanded it down each time, eventually got it level with the rest of the paint. Then lacquered it over two to three times and although its level it does show as there is a real difference in colour.
