Someone here gave me this tip awhile back about using tinfoil to eliminate any mess when dropping filter. Been doing this last couple of changes. Did fluid change today and actually thought it may useful to someone to actually see what we were talking about.
Here's a couple pics of 1/2 pipe method. Works like a charm, not a drop on the blue rag behind the cooler when I pulled it out, or anywhere else.
Thanks for the visual, EZLife! It will help me better control the oil mess. Now, if I could just get the squirrel to do the oil change for me while I drink the beer.
I use a similar device which is a scope mouthwash container with the bottom and 1 side cut out and can put the top back on to save making a mess when not in use but thanks for the idea. If I misplace my bottle. I'll know another way
Great tip, ezlife, I had heard this before, thought I knew what they were talking about, now you proved it works, I'm a tinfoil user from this day on. Just another great reason why this is the best forum on the net, because of people like you who don't mind sharing ideas and info that works. Happy thanksgiving to all members.
