Well, winter has arrived in Northern Illinois. Now, I'm depressed.
Lived here 4 years now and because of all the salt residue on the roads, the opportunities to get the bike out for short ridesare few and far between for the foreseeable future.
Guess I'll just have to live with starting up the Street Glide once a week and rolling her around the garage to keep things lubed up should the opportunity to ride present itself. Guess I'll have to be thankfull for having a large garage.
Man that sucks, winter is almost hear in the "South" also. We have to put on the leathers now to enjoy a night ride at times now.Send the glide down, we can keep her lubed up and running all winter long, and ship it back just in time for your 1st spring ride. J/K. I would hate to know that all I could do isjust look at my ride all winter.
Well all I can say is that sucks, I'm from Ohio originally so I understand the winter riding situation. All I can offer is that I'll think about all of you folks who have seasons while I'm scootin around here in Flordia. [sm=violin.gif][sm=biker.gif]
Yeah I see the snow on the ground,Northern Illinois here too... They use way too much salt etc on the roads up here,my bike doesn't touch the road next spring until all that stuff's washed away.
It's not so bad if you play it right, put in a good solid riding season with a few long runs and doesn't feel too bad to let the scoot rest for a while.
Wonder Lake, IL here and I always get the winter blues, I hate not getting out and riding.
This year is probably going to be worse, because I am waiting on a new bike to come in.
