Just installed the ThunderMax W/Autotune today. Thanks to this thread I treated those hex cap screws softer than a $200 hooker. Just managed to get them started, andkept them doused with Liquid Wrench. You ever notice how good that stuff smells? Anyway once the screws were out the next issue was with the sensors and being able to get a wrench on them. Again I had read here that you absolutly need a 7/8" crowfoot wrench, so I had one waiting. Piece of cake. I was doing some other stuff to the bike so I had the seat and bags off, that being already done I only spent about 45 min. installing the unit. that includes taking extra time to make sure that the wire harness's were clear and looked presentable.
This is one quality unit, at least in the way it is machined, and it fits like a glove. I haven't linked the bike yet, I'll be doing that tomorrow. I hope that part goes as good as the install went.
Waiting for TMax to be avilable for my 08 Street Glide. Was told first part of next year. I'm not sure what that means but I guess it can be anytime between January and May. Zippers couldn't answer more specifically.
I'm considering a PCIII if I don't hear anything by March It's cold out anyway.
