Hey lp, that is a great visual comparison. Just like dawg mentioned above, the HD bars may be uncomfortabe because of the way the bars pinch in. I am not uncomfortable with my stock bars, but I would just like to have them a bit closer with about the same configuration.
Thanks to all who chimed in.
Hey lp, do the chubby's look out of place on an EGC?
I have the same Khromewerks 300505 bars on my 08 so anytime you want to sit on it and feel the bars. Can't beat $63 either
With all the info DAWG supplied I installed the Khromwerks bars on my 08. Man what a difference. These bars are great! Well worth all the work it took to get them on. They are great and the $63 was sweet as well.
On my 07 UC I put on the Wild One 575 bars. They are a lot more confortable than stock bars. Originally I rerouted stock cables but clutch had to go outside of fairing. Just yesterday I installed new cables made by Barnett Clutch was plus 4 in. throttle and cruise plus 2 in. it worked out great. Also the plus 4 Clutch cable allowed it to go through Fairing again.
Changed my bars to the HD reach bars, love the difference, not like riding a ten speed anymore..
I reshaped my brake line, and re-routed the clutch and throttle cables... but that just me... thrifty..
Oh yeah, if you use the kromeworks bars with street glide mirrors they become useless. I redrilled my mirrors up 1" and am happier, should have move them out a half inch as well. The old holes are covered with the base of the mirror and cannot be seen.
