I wear a carbon fiber helmet that passes all saftey inspections and impact test but will not pass dot because they say it has to have 1/2' of foam . It is far better than most helmets . I'm sure I will get one but I will not roll over with out a good fight . There will be word on the side of the road for shure .

Just buy a DOT sticker, then let the cops try and figure it out.
Hey I was born and raised in Iowa which has no helmet law and I rode for years without one on my pumkin. I now live in High Point, NC and never get on my bike without one. I really don't mind wearing it but really hate the idea of being told to.

I may be wrong here but it seems to methat makeing you remove your lid to check it should take a search warrant. Maybe a lawyer will chime in on this one.
I have a KBC half helmet that I boughtlast year that is not a novelty helmet and is fully DOT approved. There is no DOTsticker of any kind on the inside of the helmet. Regarding N.T.S.B. recommending helmet laws be re-instated in all states, they did a lot of research on this. Know how many motorcycle accidents they have investigated in the forty years they have existed? Six!
Hey js124 thats a good looking scoot! Who built it? You just live down the road from me maybe we'll run into each other someday. Do you think you will do the Brenners Ride on the 15th,it's always a blast doing 85 mph going west on I40 with a police escort.
