Well, not quite a newbie, but spend most of my time in Dyna forum. I have a question regarding the frames on the Road King and Electra Glide models. Do the bikes share the same frame or are they different? If there are differences, what are they? I've read a lot about the older (pre-2002) swingarms were prone to cracking and that this was addressed in the 2002+ models. I am looking into adding a second bike to ride next year and have decided it will be a touring model, either an RK or an EG, just not sure right now.
Yep, same frame. There are some differences from the older years, compared to the newer ones, but it seems that you know this already. You will not be sorry. A touring bike is a great bike to spend some miles on, IMO.
