Default Are all hard bags interchangable?

I know I can re-adjust the mounting brackets to change to hard bags. Just curious if all touring modelhard bags have hole to hole dimensions of 13". Current leather bags on bikeare 12 1/8" hole to hole.

enough time and money you can make anything work.
I've used 01 EGC on 01 flhrp and used those bags on my 06egc.
Look up the bag number.
Last two digit (after hyphen) usually indicates the year.
They did do a change to a plastic bag vs fibreglass so the digit may change then
or maybe they just added and A or something
Would have to dig out an old estimate to see, but it's filed away.
The first 1/2 (before hyphen will change based on the prepainted number.

You can replace your leather bags with hard bags with no problems. May have to loosen mounting brackets but that's it.

The older bags from fl's in the early 90's are different bags completely. They had an area for the battery and oil tank in the front of the right bag. Other than that, you should be able to use most of the later bags.
