Went out sunday to get ready to go on a toy for tots run and the bike was cold and so the battery ran down. Well pulled the seat and the positive post on the battery had melted off. I was suppose to meet up with some guys in about 20 min. so I thought I was screwed. So I pulled the battery out of my shovel and it worked but now the radio wont work on the glide. The only think I can think is that the starter drive stuck with the low voltage and heated up the positive cable enough to melt it. It just sucked all the way around, 28 degrees, ****ed battery, no radio and a 40 mile ride to even get to the toy run, but we made it and all was good. 330 bikers and over 2000 toys, so the kids will have a good christmas, made it all worth it.
Any input on why the positive cable would burn off at the battery? And also any idea where the fuze might be for the radio?
Just wondering

Not sure about the starter drive sticking... but could you rule out that it was a loose cable connection that actually happened on your last ride?Arcing from a loose cablemight also melt thebattery post. There would be some scorch marks on the cable connection.
