Don't get me wrong. Now that I have a HD, I will never go back to owning a metric. However, one thing that I have always disliked about my RG is the saddle bags are a pain in the butt to open and close. I think the design really needs tobe modified. I have a buddy who has a 2006 Yamaha Statoliner and the bags on that bike are designed so much better...very easy to open and close. I would never trade him bikes, but I really wish HD had bags like that.

Get you a pair of ugly-assed cop bags, they open much easier.

Wow, I am not looking to drop that kind of cash for saddlebags. Hopefully HD changes the way the bags open in close in the next year or so.

I have the "ugly-assed cop bags" on my '04 police model; replaced the hockey pucks with flush-mount chrome pushbuttons--very convenient and easy to operate with one hand.
