I was considering mounting my Sirius on my '14 Ultra, but during my search for mounting options, I discovered that there was a Sirius app that cost only a few bucks a month to piggyback on your account. So I got the app on my iPhone and just run the satellite through the Bluetooth connection.
As a side note, when my subscription is up with the satellite unit that I currently use, I will be activating the Sirius Xm that is integrated in the infotainment system.
I've been using the sirius app on my phone for the past couple of years. Now that I bought an Ultra I figured I would pay the big bucks to have handlebar controls and voice recognition. Yeah, it's a lot of money to install but I figured it wasn't all that much compared to the price of the new bike.
Also, XM isn't integrated. It's an expensive addon option.
That's a good idea. Wait, what did you use it for?????
oops, sorry
I was replying to the post with th gdo in the fairing bag.
I had an extra gdo so I placed it under the right side cover and put the button behind the rear jug, I just reach down and push it. I did have to coat (waterproof) the circuit board in the gdo. when washing the bike the garage door started to closed by itself....
I'll post pictures later

He'll half my reason for clicking on this was to see what yall were doing for garage door openers. Really don't wanna pay the Harley price.
Yeah Terry. I had a feeling it was for that but he had not referenced any thing. I need a garage door that opens automatically before I need that.
When you gonna put the new bike in your sig.

I'm gonna try to get a good picture today. The only ones I have are in the garage since outside the garage it's been raining so it's constantly dirty.

Not to split hairs or anything but it is in fact a part of the infotainment system, which means it is integrated. Wether you have to pay for an add on or not does not change the fact that it is integrated.

You're right, and I understand what you're saying. Isn't it just really semantics though? To me it's either there or it isn't. I know I just shelled out $600+ for the privilege to use voice and handlebar controls for XM.
