Default Air Shock PIA

My fingers are a little large to easily attach the shock pump to the valve behind the saddlebag. This is what I did about it.

I went to the dealer and purchased a Valve Stem Extension PN# 42300009.
I attached it to the existing valve.

Then I drilled a 5/16ths hole in the license plate bracket. I put a washer on the threaded end and put it thru the new hole and tightened it up with a shaftnut with the proper threads. (Best luck getting the right nut from a tire store. Hardware and Auto parts stores just gave me dumb looks)

Now I have an easy to get to place to check and fill my shocks!

Easy to get to and looks nice. I got some new air line from the dealer and am going to re-locate it someplace, just haven't got to it yet. Your solution is simple and looks good. I surprised someone doesn't offer some high dollar "kit" to do that.

The guys that make the EZ lift centerstand (Wheeldock) make one with a gauge, a button to check the pressure, and a valve for adding air. Several types available for different bikes, and very high quality. Comes with air line, nuts and bolts for hooking it all up.

I am working on making my bike show off some of the things that I have from my mnay years in EMS and firefighting. Some have been more costly and would only work for others with the same line of work. One I did would work with any 1" diameter pin/coin/button. I wanted to cover the HD logo on the front caliper. I wanted to cover it in a way that is easy, inexpensive, and removable. So I found a collar pin, removed the pin on the back and attached it to the caliper with RTV. I used a Star of Life pin for my EMS background, but any 1" diameter pin would work.

Here is a photo, total cost less than $10.00
