My other half said she would like a bag she could put her trip goodies in so after watching some YouTube videos on how to make a bag and sew a zipper I figured I would give it a shot.
It didn't turn out perfect, but it is pretty good for a first effort. I attached it with snaps at the top and Velcro at the bottom. It is made from marine grade vinyl.
I also made a bag for the lower door out of leather for my stuff. That is the first time I tried to do a leather bag too.
I just did a 2" tank lift on my 15 RGS. I used parts from the hardware store, only cost me $5 and about 10 minutes. I love the look. Now the bottom of the tank lines up with the bottom of the fairing.
Parts used:
(2) 2" U-bolt. I only used the flat bar that is on the u-bolt.
(2) 5/16th x 3/4" hex head bolts
(2) 5/16th self locking nuts with nylon
(4) 5/16th washers.

Garage door remote button on a Street Glide Special...
I got a small black button from radio shack for $3.99 and mounted it on upper inside of the speaker indent. It's not a waterproof button so I was looking for someplace to mount it where it would be relatively protected. It matches the color of the inner fairing so it's nearly invisible unless you're looking for it. And if I ever need to remove it, I doubt anyone would ever notice a hole there.

Both are terrific ideas for stowing little things on a ride particularly the pouch behind the backrest. I just jettisoned the tourpac so I'm always looking for ways to store stuff. I gotta do a search on Youtube and add sewing skills to my list of dubious credentials.
