How to modify a 2014+ OEM street glide windshield to fit 86-89 Memphis batwing, the 2014+ OEM windshield has 3 holes and 2 bottom lips, In order to make it fit on a 86-89 Memphis batwing you have to cut the 2 bottom lips and sand down the bottom to fit snug. Place the center hole and tighten it. With a NEW sharp drill bit very slowly drill 4 other holes to match the windshield. Finally instal all the other bolts and Wallah 👍
OEM 2014 Windshield is $147.00 New from Harley dealership. With a dermel tool cut off the tabs. I got mine from a swap meet for $1.00 Should look like this. Drill holes to match the 5 bolt bat wing. Before with the tall clear OEM windshield After with the new OEM 2014 medium smoke windshield

Went to another swap meet and this time I got another different windshield ( $3.00 ) and a 3 pouch leather storage ( $5.00 ) I had to cut and trim and shave and finally got it all installed.

Bought a set of heritage hard bag mounts and bolted them to the wall. Some screw on releases and works out great. All in $60 and they arent on the floor and its like a display. Only one done but had to share. I like it.
Looks great and a good idea to help keep the bags in good shape.
I'd relocate that magnetic tool holder if it were me though... to avoid a pair of pliers landing on the bags and damaging the paint.
When I installed the WHIM the wired communications port on the dash was deactivated. I replaced it with a power port for my heated gear. No more pigtail to fish out from a side panel. Considered doing the same for the passenger plug but decided it would be too much effort and my passengers pig tail is already wired thru the seat against my backrest.
