Question for all you out there that are 6'0" tall. What set up do you have for your highway pegs, i.e. long/short mounting hardware, straight bracket bolt on,i.e. comes straight off the engine guard, etc.
Also, what type of peg is most comfortable, i.e round or flat like a mini floor board?
Which pegs should I avoid, due to not holding up to wear and tear?
One last question, which is better, to have the pegs mounted to the outboard side of the engine guards, or on the inside?
HD short angled mounts and I moved the passenger pegs on my street glide to become highway pegs (outside the bar). Replaced the passenger pegs with sweptline passenger boards and chrome mounts.
Kury Wings -sorry no pictures - like em fine and like the look vs pegs or boards. BTW, also 6' and didn't need the arms, just bolted them right to the crash bar and adjusted the angle to suit. Figured I would try them first and if I needed the arms I could always add later.
Had ISO pegs with stirrups on a Softail Custom and liked them too. Hard to beat Kury for this stuff, it's quality and it works.
To answer your in or out question - I have always mounted highway pegs on outside, just more comfortable.
