Gettin up early to hit the Natchez Trace with the wife tomorrow and Sunday.
Forecast is for the mid 70's!
Whew...that is gonna be nice after my 150 mile loop yesterday at 37 degrees. lol
Will be taking some pics, and maybe a video.
Be safe.
Hey MB:
I live in Nashville and have rode the trace on this end. Forecast for Sat, Sun is scattered showers and clouds. However, most rain should be North of you.
We did the Trace back in August. Be Very Careful with the soeed limit. 50 mph. The entire length of the Trace is a National Park. A Federal ticket is very expensive. Take two days to ride the Trace. Stop often to see the sights, the original trace, the indian mounds, etc. Some of the Trace can be boring. Lots of deer and turkeys.
I rode the Natchez Trace with a group of coworkers (7 bikes) last summer and we had a blast. The northern half from Tupelo to Nashville is the best. Lots of historical and scenic stops along the way. We took a short side trip off the trace to Davy Crockett State Park in Tennessee that was worth the time.
We liked eating at Loveless Cafe just outside the northern end of the Trace, great biscuits!
i rode the entire trace in sept. this year and honestly it's boring till you get to tupelo!! then it gets nice! but i must say the town of natchez is definately worth the trip!!!!! met the biscuit lady from the loveless cafe in tenn. great sights
