Default OK with header only?

I started installing Klock Werks double back header today. I was told I wouldn't have to do a tuner with header only. Only when you change the intake. Is that true? I have the big sucker in the box but I thought I would get the SERT for Christmas and install it then. Can I just do a ecm reflash? Thanks everyone!!

Might be a great learning tool to use the search function at the bottom of the page, read all of the posts, then make an informed decision

Good Luck

I always post first and then do a search. Put my question out there to see who bites while I read old posts but thanks for the great info.

You'll Need To.... You can get away with slip-on mufflers (in most cases) - but going to change the headers you need to get yourself a Fuel Management System (just doing a download\flash will still be running within EPA requirements (LEAN) - Might as well finish the Stage 1 if your going that far (Mufflers & Air Kit) & don't ride it to much (if any) till it's done...

If you can avoid it, do NOT buy a SERT. Go for a Power Commander instead. They are easier to tune, they work better and save tons of dyno time. Did I mention cheaper?

i'd have to agree with about?????? 1 of those answers, yes for the laymen they are easier to use, they make them idiot proof but to say they are better is by far spoken by somebody who does not have the experience with them. PC still need a pile of dyno to make them run right. Canned maps are only as good as the last guy made them for his bike not for yours.
