Garmin 2720 - used on my 07 Classic and now 08 Ultra Classic, car and truck. It is a discontinued model but still supported by Garmin. You can load POI's, points of interest, via your PC and a USB cable. I have US Harley dealers, Flying J stations and state parks loaded in mine.
I got a Garmin Zumo 550 for my B-Day. Comes with bike and auto mounts. Easy attach to handlebars and pretty easy to tie electric into power inside headlight. Has bluetooth output so you can hear audio directions and play MP3's wirelessly. Bluetooth is only mono though. Connects to bluetooth cell phones and will display who is calling and downloads cell contacts so you can easily call them when you are stopped. Can download POI's and routes from PC easily. Lots of things you can do and it works great on bike and in truck
Go to PC Nation.com for the best price on a ZUMO 550./ It is waterproof and comes with mounts for both bike and car. It also has theft protective screw on the bike mount to keep someone from just walking off with. it. I thinks it's the best value for the dollar. Bldr
I agree.I have the 2720 and it's great. Fast ,accurate and waterproof. I used it on my 03 RKC and just hadthe hardwire and bracketinstalled on my 2008 SG. I hardwired it to the accy switch so I could kill the power to the cord. I use it in all my vehicles. Once you use it you won't want to be with out it. All the Harley dealers can be down loaded into the lookup. Just released a 2008 update for current points of interest and mapping. You may find some deals on it because it is now discontinued. I purchased one for my wife for $350 on close out from Cosco. Worth looking for
I went with a non motorcycle specific unit; the Garmin StreetPilot C330. Got it for $179.00 bucks and a 3 year walk in replacement warranty for $15.00. It works perfectly. Only issue is that it is not waterproof so I will not ride with it in the rain. You can read about it on my blog by clicking here.
