Just was talking with you the other day. Im still healing my self from the hit from behind. Take care of your hand, thats the most important thing and hug your family. Get well and keep the positive attitude it helps the healing.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune; that wrist is painful just to look at.
Mud and grime on the road with light rain sounds like a nasty mix. You probably had time to think "What the ..." before you were on your way down.
That hard hat sure did help you out. I wear the gear but go by the motto let those that ride decide. The picture may encourage some of us on the fence to wear a helmet.
Hope you mend well and that your physical therapist is cute.
Had a recent wreck out here in the boonies, half the county stopped to help or gawk.Luckly an ex EMT lady took control and provided shade and toweled my forehead for 35 min til the meat wagon finally got there. The bike was hauled, I was hauled. Thank God people out here actually care. Turns out quite a group of coworkers were at the scene as well as most of the people I know at the local feed store. I was better than watching TV! I was on my way home from work.
Got all the gossip you could imagine about the circumstances and the other party involved. Glad it didn't happen in Houston.
I remember every bit of it and saying to myself this is not happening.... as the bike slide and you could here the parts break, I was already adding up the $100 bills in my mind for ever foot of ground I was covering. It is a sound I will not forget (money,money,money...)

I'm glad you were able to walk away from - the only good crash. I'm glad you brought up the mud on the road as we have construction up the road from our house and the recent drizzly rain will make it worse. I usually don't ride in the rain, unless I'm caught out in it. However, that doesn't mean the construction sites aren't muddy as all get out and those crews could care less about how much mud they sling off their tires as they hit the road.
glad it wasn't any worse. the roads and construction around here keep getting more and more fubar. get better and think "paint". i would bust ***** on the construction co. regardless of the outcome. i'm kinda a redneck that way.
