I am 6'3" and have no problems with a standard windshield. However, I think there are several factors that have to be considered: windshield, type of helmet, and head position in relation to top of windshield.

I'm 5'9", ride an EGC witha 3/4 helmet, & experience no buffeting. A close friend, who is about 6' &rides an RG, had problems with buffeting between his torso & the whole gizmo up front. This was solved by buying an aftermarket shield that has slight curves at various places, but basically looks stock. He found it on the net. Bet ya could google it & find it.

Me too, I'm 5'-11" and have no problems with buffeting.

Actually the wind is approx 4-6" above my head.

I'm guessing you were wearing a full faced helmet? If so try a 1/2 or 3/4 and it'll solve your problem. My full faced does the same to me.

Tulsa enterprizes heh, right down the road from me, matter of fact I can all but walk there. Didn't know they were making harley shields yet, talked to Allen few years ago and they were developing them but didn't say when they would start. Looks as if I am going to have to make a trip by there and check em out again.

I think I will test ride it again. I was wearing a full face helmet. I'm comfortable with the protection of a full face and would prefer to wear one. The screen was right below my eye level and it messed with my vision, kind of like being cross eyed. I bent forward to hide behind the screen and I could feel wind coming up from around the forks.

The dealer said if I buy a taller or shorter screen and it doesn't work out, he'll swap for another one.

Since I test rode an 07 and want to buy an 08, are there any differences with lower protection between the two years?

Thanks again!
