does anybody know if the switch over is easy or will have to buy some stuff, iam looking at a 2006 roadking custom stock seat , will it fit ok, thanks, mike
remove all the parts associated with the police seat including the frame cover and air reservoir. attach new seat. you will have to get the parts to hold the rear of the new seat to the fender. hole is already there with a plastic plug in place.
+1 on Huffhuff; also remove thehinge attached to the frameused by the front of the seat.
As for a RK Custom seat fitment, if the seat will fit a RK Standard it will work on your bike; the Custom has some slightly different fitment, probably because of the saddlebags on it--you can get an RK Custom to fit on your police RK, but you might have rubbing of the seat on the hard bag lids--don't know one way or the other--just that thereare some fitment differences unique to the Custom.
